Young Toddler Program

(1 - 2 Years Old)

Curiosity, Confidence, and First Steps

The Young Toddler Program at Rising Star Day Care is designed for children just beginning to explore their world. At this age, children are walking, talking, and developing their own sense of independence. We support them with love, patience, and plenty of opportunities to discover.

Our teachers create a safe environment where toddlers can confidently try new things—from stacking blocks to painting with their fingers. We embrace this period of big emotions and rapid learning with a structured, yet flexible routine that makes toddlers feel secure.

It’s a special time of growth, and we’re here to celebrate every wobbly step, new word, and joyful “I did it!”

Movement & Motor Skills

We give toddlers plenty of room to move, climb, and play. Gross motor skills are strengthened through dancing, walking, and pushing/pulling toys.

Early Language Development

We help build communication by naming objects, encouraging conversation, and responding to each child’s words and gestures with warmth and enthusiasm.

Creative Play

From finger painting to music and sensory bins, toddlers get messy in the best way—exploring textures, colors, and self-expression.

Emotional Support

We support toddlers in naming their feelings, managing frustrations, and learning how to express themselves positively with the help of loving caregivers.

Social Development

Parallel play and group activities introduce young toddlers to early social skills like sharing, taking turns, and empathy.

Consistent Daily Routines

Predictable schedules help toddlers feel secure. Meals, naps, and playtime are consistent, so toddlers always know what comes next.
